Exaton Ni53 is a nickel–chromium–cobalt–molybdenum alloy, equivalent to Alloy 617, offering excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization at elevated temperatures. The weld metal provides high metallurgical stability and outstanding strength for both short-term and long-term service at temperatures up to approximately 1100°C.
The product is used in high-temperature equipment such as heat exchangers, high-temperature valves, furnace tubes, radiant tubes, gas turbines, and other heat-resistant components in petrochemical, chemical processing, and power generation industries.
Exaton Ni53 electrodes are suitable for welding heat-resistant nickel alloys, heat-resistant austenitic steels, and equivalent cast alloys such as UNS N08810 (1.4958), UNS N08811 (1.4959), and UNS N06617 (2.4663). In addition, they are used for joining stainless steel to nickel alloys and for weld overlay (cladding) applications.
