High austenitic alloy welding rods, stabilized with Nb, are used for welding products in humid environments at temperatures from -120 to +400°C. They are made from acid-resistant, corrosion-resistant, carbide-stabilized and unstabilized chromium-nickel-molybdenum steels such as 02Kh17N11M2, 08Kh17N13M2T, 10Kh17N13M3T, 1.4571, ASTM: 316L, 316Ti, 318 and similar, as well as chromium-nickel steels such as 03Kh18N10, 08Kh18N10T, ASTM: 304L, 321, 347 and similar, when quality requirements for resistance to crystallization of the weld metal are needed.
Welds made with this welding wire are resistant to pitting at temperatures up to 800°C and exhibit relatively good resistance to pitting corrosion. It should be noted that, like ER316, the welded metal does not exhibit sufficiently good corrosion resistance when exposed to strong oxidizers. Furthermore, this weld is not designed for subsequent electrochemical polishing
